Can I send a message to the church. The people that are supposed to be there when someone else is in need. If that need is spiritual, emotional, physical, or financial. As Christians, we are called to love others and put them before ourselves. Matthew 22:36-40 NIV “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments" With 90% of Christian's knowing this verse, why is it so easy to walk away from our faith? Not only that, but not show up at church for over 2 years and no receive a single phone call? I guess, to be open about my situation, I haven't been to church in a long time. you may ask why. This day and age Christians are seen as weak. Christian men are not only weak but not even leaders. There is no courage, no passion, no sincerity, no true examples of what it means to be a MAN\WOMAN OF GOD. I'm talking about a guy that plays church, plays house, plays daddy, plays friend, yet behind closed doors there is so much more going on. I am so sick of weak Christians. Well, it has been way too long since I last wrote. This will pretty much just be an update on my life from my last post till now. It has been almost 2 years since my last post and that is WAY TOO LONG. So here goes! Writing is something I really enjoy doing. I have to feel inspired to write so sometimes it takes time. I just happened to play it tonight on my way home from life group and it has really convicted and inspired me. I am writing this to share my heart with you, and I hope that this will also open your eyes to live your life differently. When you hear the word Christmas, what is the first thought that runs through your mind? What does the word Christmas mean to you, and what is the actual meaning of Christmas? For a long time I can honestly say my first thought of Christmas was "YES!!! I get presents and get to eat a lot of food!!" Why did I think that? Wow, it has been so long since I have done this! I wish I could write all day every day! God uses me in his time though. The title of this comes from J.T. Cheek, Life group leader, friend, brother in Jesus Christ. One day at life group we went off on a tangent and it all concluded with J.T. saying Masquerade Christianity. It blew me away because that is such an appropriate term for religion in south Georgia. We live in "The Bible Belt". Most of our southern morals are based on biblical teachings. We are getting away from that now but still a lot of our moralistic ideas are biblical. It's not right for this or that ... You get it. Anyway, This is why Christians look weak to the world, this is why Christianity is so accepted into everyone's lives because they see Christianity is just a word and not a commitment/ lifestyle .
